How can we help?
No ticket system, no chatbot. Your message goes straight to the people who built the app.
support@codiry.com Response time
Usually within two working days. Weekends and public holidays may take a little longer.
Which app do you need help with?
Each app has its own articles — from first setup to the questions that reach us most often.
General questions
Purchases, iCloud, accessibility and everything else that works the same way in all of our apps.
First aid
The app won't start or keeps crashing
In this order, that is nearly always fixable:
- Close the app completely: swipe up from the bottom edge, hold briefly in the middle, then flick the app upwards. Then open it again.
- Restart the device.
- Check the App Store for an update to the app.
- Check Settings › General › Software Update for a newer version of iOS.
If it still misbehaves, write to us — with the device, the iOS version and what you did last.
What we need for a support request
Three details are usually enough for us to find the cause:
- Device — for example iPhone 15 or iPad Air (5th generation).
- System version — found under Settings › General › About › Software Version.
- What happened — what you did, what you expected, what happened instead. A screenshot helps too.
How quickly do you reply?
Usually within two working days. Weekends and public holidays may take a little longer. There is no call centre behind Codiry, just a small team — your message goes straight to the people who built the app.
Purchases and subscriptions
Restoring purchases
After changing device or reinstalling, purchases are not lost. They belong to your Apple Account, not to the device.
- Open the app and go to its in-app settings.
- Tap Restore purchases.
- Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. Check under Settings › your name › Media & Purchases.
Cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us, so cancelling happens in the system settings:
- Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Choose Subscriptions.
- Tap the app in question and choose Cancel Subscription.
The app stays usable until the end of the period you have already paid for. You do not need to tell us, and we cannot cancel on your behalf.
Getting a refund
Refunds run exclusively through Apple. Open reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, select the purchase and give a reason.
We have no influence over that decision and cannot even see whether a request is in progress. If the reason is a bug in our app, do write to us anyway — then at least we can fix it.
Family Sharing
Whether a purchase can be shared through Family Sharing is stated on each app's App Store page under Supports: Family Sharing. Where it is supported, one family member installing the app is enough — no second purchase needed.
iCloud and devices
My data isn't on my second device
Our apps use your own iCloud to sync — we run no server of our own. When something is missing, it is nearly always one of three things:
- Same Apple Account? Check on both devices under Settings › your name that the same account is shown.
- iCloud Drive on? Under Settings › your name › iCloud, iCloud Drive must be on and the app allowed in the list.
- Connection and patience. The first sync needs an internet connection and sometimes a minute or two. Closing and reopening the app nudges it along.
Where does my data actually live?
On your device and, where an app offers syncing, additionally in your personal iCloud. We have no access — the data sits in your Apple account, not with us.
An iPhone backup includes this data automatically. To be sure, check Settings › your name › iCloud › iCloud Backup.
Deleting data
Whatever sits in your iCloud you delete yourself: Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage, select the app and remove its data. Deleting the app from the device removes the locally stored data with it.
Data that arose here through a support request is deleted on an informal email, and we confirm once it is done.
Use and accessibility
Making the text larger
Our apps take their text size from the system. Set it under Settings › Display & Brightness › Text Size, or larger still under Settings › Accessibility › Display & Text Size › Larger Text.
Reducing animation
If movement is bothersome, use Settings › Accessibility › Motion › Reduce Motion. Our apps and this website follow that setting and switch to a calm version without animation.
Guided Access — locking the device to one app
Useful when a child is holding the device: Guided Access locks the iPhone or iPad to the open app until you enter a code.
- Turn it on once under Settings › Accessibility › Guided Access and set a passcode there.
- Open the app and press the side button three times quickly.
- To leave, press three times again and enter the code.
Anything else
I have an idea for a feature
Please send it. We read every suggestion. Whether it gets built does not depend on how often it is requested, but on whether it makes the app simpler. We turn some good ideas down. That is not disregard — it is the reason our apps stay as clear as they are.
Do you collect data about me?
As little as we possibly can. There is no advertising, there are no trackers and nothing is passed to third parties. Whatever has to be stored lives on your device or in your own iCloud. The details are in our privacy policy.
Which languages are the apps available in?
German and English, unless the app description says otherwise. Shapes gets by almost without language and therefore works the same everywhere. DailyClever teaches German vocabulary and is, by its nature, in German.
Nothing that fits?
Simply write to us — general questions about the studio are welcome too.
